Subject: Re: Kobold/Schechinger Author: Reno Kobold Date: 14 Jan 2003 4:45 AM GMT Email: Our great grand mother, Eva Schechinger comes from Schmedhaussen in Bavaria. this one street village is about14 kilometers from Phaffenhoven and all of the records are kept in the Catholic Church in Pffaffenhoven. My attempts to peruse these records were all not that sucessful as the Priest spoke no English and we could not find a translator. I now find I have a neighbor who's sister lives in Phaffenhove and I hope she will be able to do some research for me. I believe that Eva married our Great Grand Father Michael Kobold in 18 56 in the small church in Schmedhaussen.( nowclosed) They lived at Number 7 in Schmedhausen untill they immagrated to the US.
